About me

I'm Mike McCaffrey, CFT and PADI instructor and all-around scuba enthusiast. I have been diving now almost 14 years and i've been an instructor for the last 7. I started this site to share with you what I learn as I gain experience, see the world, and explore all things scuba.

I truly believe that you never stop learning and i am on a mission to learn as much as i can about my favorite hobby. In the past 14 years i've had the privilege to dive in some of the worlds most amazing diving locations. I have worked in the diving industry for several years and learnt a great deal from some amazing characters. In this blog i will describe some of my most memorable dives and i'll share with you some of the lessons i've learned along the way.

Over the years, i've had many people ask me questions about diving. The most common questions often include "where's the best place to go diving" and "what dive equipment is best". Whilst i don't profess to be an foremost authority on either of these subjects, i will attempt to share my personal opinions and maybe help you form an opinion for yourselves.

If you love diving as much as I do, I'm sure you'll find something here to enjoy from diving trip reports to the occasional equipment review.
